Signified by the Greek symbol Sigma, meaning “summation,” Global Solver is a science policy idea building tool that brings together scientists and policy makers to engage students in the search for innovative solutions to the critical challenges of our time including meeting global energy demand, climate change, managing a pandemic, and controlling the spread of WMDs. Students from participating institutions can load their ideas onto the Global Solver site and refine those ideas through direct feedback and discussion from some of the world's leading experts.
