Dr. Sarah Stoll
Co-Director, SPI
Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Georgetown University
Sarah Stoll has been a co-Director of Science in the Public Interest on and off since 2009. She has worked in government as a Program Officer for the National Science Foundation in 2015-2016. Although her scholarship is in the area of magnetic nano materials, she has taught Environmental Chemistry for over 20 years and is interested in how local governments respond to environmental issues. For example, many cities in the United States have old lead pipe infrastructure, and how disinfectants and anti-corrosives added at the treatment plan have a large impact on lead levels in drinking water.
She holds a BA from Smith College and a PhD in chemistry from University of California, Berkeley.
