Dr. Wayland has done research and consulting in the fields of watershed management, water quality monitoring, and hydrologic modeling with a focus on the impact of land use on surface and groundwater. Since coming to Washington, she has begun lecturing at universities and professional societies on the role of scientists in public policy.
